From 15 to 17 May the XVI Congress of Vascular and Interventional Radiology was held in Seville, where we could appreciate the growth and good health of our specialty, with papers of great scientific quality.
In this congress I had the opportunity to present a workshop on the Clarivein method for the treatment of venous insufficiency (varicose veins). We know that this technique is minimally invasive, and therefore does not require surgery or anaesthesia, being very effective for the removal of varicose veins. Also, the patient has no discomfort before, during, or after the procedure, with immediate return to work and social activity. It also presents an excellent aesthetic result.
I also had the opportunity to present, together with Dr. Ana Sáez de Ocáriz, a second workshop about prostate embolization, where we could talk about how to implement the technique in different hospitals in Spain, and about the different materials that can be used to perform the technique.
